A brief update on Chrissy.

Lots of progress since I last posted.

Seizures and behaviours are now more stable than they've been in years. We finally got there! Chrissy has been able to go out and about, and is really enjoying life.

She now has the continuing healthcare funding that we fought for over such a long period. This should mean that she will get a better quality of care in the community.

She has a bungalow in Winchester through social housing and last week we selected a care provider, so it's all systems go. We hope to complete the transition by Christmas.

I'll post again when Chrissy has moved in.

  2. Oh Jane I am beyond delighted to read this. You have had to fight and struggle so much and Chrissy has had such a terrible time with her seizures. I'm glad that at last things are finally working out and that there's a way forward. The photo is beautiful - so nice to see Chrissy be able to enjoy life again.

    1. Thanks LittleMamma. It has been a long struggle and I was beginning to think that we were allowing ourselves false hope. So lucky that we got the right meds balance in the end & now suitable housing has come up. Chrissy will be moving in the next few weeks hopefully. x

    2. Thanks LittleMamma. I was beginning to think it was false hope so really happy to get the right meds balance to manage seizures without impacting behaviours. Long may it last x
